The Fort Bend Infrastructure Conference is a collaborative effort between the Central Fort Bend Chamber, the Fort Bend Chamber, and the Fort Bend EDC.

This half-day conference will take place on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 7:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. at Safari Texas Ranch, Richmond.

This informative conference is a comprehensive series of presentations from industry experts in water, development, transportation, supply chain, public policy, and much more.

The education and promotion of developments in infrastructure is an essential tool for business and economic growth.

This educational conference promises to be information packed and a results-oriented meeting of experts covering various topics including Powering Fort Bend, Fort Bend County Mobility Bond, Rising Water and Private and Public Partnerships.

This year’s conference will feature a special keynote presentation from Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar who will discuss fiber optics and broadband connectivity in Fort Bend County.

Glenn Hegar is Texas’ chief financial officer — the state’s treasurer, check writer, tax collector, procurement officer and revenue estimator – a job that is particularly important as the state continues its strong recovery amidst ongoing global economic and geopolitical instability.

His commitment to responsible fiscal management is highlighted recently in his efforts to address issues such as pension reform and managing federal relief dollars.
